Ingram Cleasby : ウィキペディア英語版 | Ingram Cleasby (Thomas Wood) Ingram Cleasby was the Dean of Chester in the latter part of the 20th century.〔Crockford's Clerical Directory 2008/2009 (100th edition), Church House Publishing (ISBN 978-0-7151-1030-0)〕 He was born on 27 March 1920 and educated at Sedbergh and Magdalen College, Oxford.〔Who's Who2008: London, A & C Black (ISBN 978-0-7136-8555-8)〕 After World War II service with the Border Regiment he was ordained in 1954. Initially a Curate at Huddersfield Parish Church〔(Church web site )〕 he became Chaplain to the Archbishop of York in 1952. Following this he was Anglican Chaplain to the University of Nottingham and then Archdeacon of Chesterfield (1963–1978)〔''Dr. Allen's Choice Of Archdeacon'' The Times Monday, Nov 26, 1962; pg. 7; Issue 55558; col C〕 before his elevation to the Deanery.〔(British History On-line )〕 Described in his Daily Telegraph obituary as a “broad, inclusive, traditional Anglican”〔Issue no 47,825 dated March 9, 2009〕 he died on 9 February 2009. ==Notes==
